This is a denim shirt from the Saddleman label, which appeared in the late 1950s and developed authentic Western wear. It's also known as the "Sawtooth" shirt because of the shape of the flap pockets. It uses snap buttons, and the silhouette is slim fit.
About 10 years ago, Levi's made a strong effort to faithfully reproduce this denim shirt in the USA, using the original fabric and stitching. I bought it as raw denim, washed it once or twice, and haven't put it in the dryer, so it should still shrink. The fabric still has a bit of the original starch, I think.
