Former Emir of Kano and Grand Khalifa of Nigeria Calls on Asantehene

The former Emir of Kano and grand Khalifa of Tijanniya in Nigeria, His Highness Muhammad Sanusi II, earlier today paid a courtesy call on the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace. 

Sanusi Lamido’s is in the country at the invitation of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and took time to visit the Ashanti Region where there is a significant presence of Nigerian Muslim Community. While in the Region, he is expected to grace the annual end of year Islamic quaranic recitation and prayer to be held by the Nigerian Community in Ghana.

During the visit to the Manhyia Palace, Otumfuo Osei Tutu commended the Spiritual leader and described his leadership as outstanding and anointed one. The King gave his blessings to the annual event, saying the prayers will help bestow blessings on the whole of Nigeria, Ghana and Africa in the coming years.

The Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria was in company of Prof Ibrahim Makari the Abuja National Chief Imam, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul Ramani, Mosi chief who represented the Kumasi Sarki Zongo, the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin, the Former Offinso South MP, Ben Abdallah Banda amongst others.
